HRIS is one of the fastest growing DFMs in the UK – some of our current clients outline the reasons why.
Chantler Kent case study
Chantler Kent have been working with HRIS since we launched in 2021. They chose to implement our Tailored Portfolio Service after their existing investment proposition was no longer fit for purpose.
What was the challenge?
“Our existing proposition hadn’t adapted well over time and would have been subject to an increase in costs for our clients, at a time when there was, and is, downward pressure in this area. That proposition also wouldn’t have fitted neatly into the new risk profiling tools that we were using, as the original risk tool that we were working with was provided as part of the overall investment proposition. This meant that our advice process would become disconnected, and we needed a new investment proposition that would be aligned and integral to the process.”
How was this overcome?
“We worked closely with Hymans Robertson Investment Services to implement a solution that delivered on both the cost and the risk requirements set out in our initial brief. There was a clear link between the advice process and the investment proposition giving us and our clients confidence in the management of their investments, whilst the economies of scale and buying power that HRIS brings provided a cost base within the required charging structure that we were unable to get from another provider.”
And the results?...
“Twelve months on from delivery and we have a far closer working relationship with HRIS based on mutual respect, than with our previous provider. This allows us to spend more time on financial planning for our clients, confident that our investment proposition is being robustly managed. The latest data also shows that our brief continues to be met and feedback from our clients has shown that the investment proposition and communications around it have been very welcomed by our firm as well as our clients.”
