Advisers would benefit if they put marketing higher on their to-do list, despite time-constraints, says Hymans Robertson Investment Services, as it launches Content Streams to its IFA clients.

Marketing is a way for Advisers to cement the value they’re already delivering to their clients and evidence how they’re complying with Consumer Duty, says the leading DFM. To help achieve this, Content Streams is a content sharing platform that allows Advisers to access, create, approve, share and track content across all their marketing channels. The launch is in partnership with specialist financial services marketing agency The Outsourced Marketing Department (TOMD), that has designed the platform to alleviate many of the pinch-points Advisers experience when delivering marketing activity. This is now more important than ever, considering that the FCA has highlighted communications has a central role in compliance with Consumer Duty. To comply, materials have to be clear, fair and not misleading to aid decision-making.

The platform removes barriers to marketing through a plug-and-play format. Materials are provided on Content Streams, pre-approved with options to co-brand. The platform also tracks and analyses all content, allowing Advisers to gain clear insights on what their clients are engaging with and understand where communications are adding value.

Commenting on why HRIS has launched Content Streams to clients and the role of marketing in financial advice now, Kate Rainbow, Head of Key Accounts, Hymans Robertson Investment Services says:

"At HRIS our model is built around partnering with a select group of advice firms because we want to provide deeper support, highly responsive service and offer real value that’s aligned to their goals and helps them to deliver even better outcomes for their clients.

“We’ve heard frequently from many of our clients that there’s real appetite to strengthen communications, particularly through more personalised, frequent and targeted marketing content that’s genuinely more engaging.

“The challenge many firms face is delivering this level of high‑quality, segmented communication efficiently. That’s exactly where our partnership with TOMD and access to the Content Streams platform comes in. It enables firms to share consistent, professional content at scale, without adding to their operational burden – the kind of strategy they’ve been telling us they want to adopt.

“Ultimately, marketing communication is more effective and efficient, supporting both client understanding and business growth”

Commenting on the launch of Content Streams with HRIS, J-P Wilkins, Director, The Outsourced Marketing Department, says:

“Content Streams has been designed specifically for financial advice firms. We drew on our deep decades-long experience solving the marketing challenges Advisers face, to make sure that we give them something that’s cutting edge and truly plug and play.

“The platform fits seamlessly into Advisers’ workflows and has been designed to remove long‑standing pain points around creating and distributing material to clients. It has built‑in analytics that allows firms to understand what is resonating with their audience so they can shape smarter, well-evidenced plans in the future.

“Enabling different content for each Adviser and for each client segment is particularly valuable as well as personalised campaign pages for acquiring new and engaging existing clients.”
